IZUMI ALLERØD
The project is to renovate old bank into a restaurant, locates in Allerød, a suburb area of Copenhagen, Denmark. The project challenges to translate the restaurant concept of “Scandinavian twisted Japanese” to the space experience. Scandinavia and Japan have a long history of influencing each other, especially in the field of design. The idea is to make this history itself to be a representative of the restaurant concept.

By adding delicate changes to the Japanese material and dimensions system, we made them closer to the Danish culture. As a result, the spatial experience evokes a feeling of like mixture of the cultures.
